Note: Similar to ISO 7042 | DIN standard has been withdrawn | modified nut height and wrench width
The hexagon nuts are self-locking nuts with special metal insert. A metal clamping part is fixed in the inner groove. The metal insert has a reliable clamping effect on the full circumference of the thread when attached. It is firmly integrated and cannot be accidentally forgotten. The hexagonal nut can be used multiple times.
Advantages: • Reusable • Reliable securing by clamping action of the metal insert
Surface (VZD): galvanized, thick-film passivated, min. 5µm | corrosion resistance to DIN EN ISO 9227*: white rust 72h, red rust 144h | defined coefficient of friction µ(total) = 0.12 - 0.18 for elements with a nominal tensile strength ≥ 800 MPa
*The verification of the mentioned minimum requirements is carried out according to the test conditions of DIN EN ISO 4042, galvanic coatings for fasteners. For dimensions < M5, the above values may deviate downwards.
