The ZAHN self-locking nuts are mechanical locking devices that reliably prevent the connection from loosening automatically. The locking effect is achieved by locking teeth that penetrate the contact surface with the entire depth of the tooth when tightening. The material to be screwed into must have a lower hardness than the nut. If the screw connection is loosened again, damage to the surface of the support material can be expected. If surface damage is to be avoided, we recommend the use of the RIPP LOCK® self-locking nuts
Advantages: • Reliable screw locking without additional elements • Enlarged bearing surface makes washers and spring washers superfluous • Reduced setting values of the nut
