The ZAHN self-locking screws are mechanical anti-rotation devices that effectively prevent the automatic loosening of the connection. The reliable securing effect is achieved by the locking teeth, which penetrate into the support material by the depth of the tooth when tightening. The material into which the screw is screwed must have a lower hardness than that of the screw. If the screw connection is loosened again, damage to the surface of the support material can be expected. If surface damage is to be avoided, we recommend the use of the RIPP LOCK® self-locking screws.
Advantages: • Reliable screw locking without additional elements • Enlarged bearing surface makes washers and spring washers superfluous • Reduced setting values of the screws
